My journey to becoming a Pilates Instructor
Some people come to Pilates feeling disconnected from their bodies. I know… I was one of them.
When I was dancing jazz and ballet, I learned so much about body awareness and feeling connected to myself. I loved dancing, and it gave me a sense of control and confidence you don’t find in many other parts of life.
After an injury left me sidelined, I was unsure if I would ever move with the same ease again. It felt like I had lost a part of myself.
Then my first Pilates class shifted everything. The movements felt intentional, almost meditative – yet I could feel every muscle working in harmony. It was like waking up in my own body again, combining strength, alignment, and mindfulness in a way I had never experienced.
